Appendix H has been superseded with the revised Appendix published on the 18 September 2013.

This latest revision of Appendix H has been carried out under the direction of the NWSRG on behalf of the UKRLG and UKRB using information from the NWSRG Practical Guide for Winter Service (Practical Guide) and NWSRG member organisations, as well as other recent winter service research and information.  To read the updates that have been incorporated into Well-maintained Highways click here.

HMEP webinars

CIHT has been working closely with the Department for Transport, through the Highways Maintenance Efficiency Programme (HMEP) to help produce a series of events and webinars.

HMEP is a sector-led transformation programme designed to maximise returns from highways investment and deliver efficient and effective services.  Aimed at the local highways sector, the programme runs to 2018 and is sponsored by the Department for Transport who are providing £6 million funding.

HMEP is a partnership between public and private sectors, and the programme team consists of representatives from local and highway authorities, companies and central government.
