The Department for Transport (DfT) is undertaking a review of the Codes of Practice on behalf of the UK Roads Liaison Group, covering Well-maintained Highways, Management of Highway Structures and Well-lit Highways.   The Codes provide local authorities with guidance on highways management in an ever-changing environment, creating a strong foundation for a positive and lasting maintenance policy.
Speakers will include representatives of the DfT and the Project Steering Group, along with members of the Atkins Project Team.  They will be outlining the aims, scope and principles of the review, their planned approach, the areas being covered and the timetable for releasing the updated versions for Autumn 2015.
